Ronnie's Wraps - Transformable Fashion

About a week ago I attended a small fashion show presented by LC’s Café & Supper Club and Veronica Morgan, owner of Ronnie’s Simple Sewing. The fashion that I saw amazed me, especially since the show consisted of ten pieces that transformed into over 50 outfits! Impossible, right? Nope. Very possible and very chic.

Veronica Morgan’s business was born in December 2016 from the inside of her wardrobe. She found herself ridding her closet of the clothes that she didn’t wear, only to refill it with new purchases. This was a constant struggle of hers. Instead of continuing this vicious cycle she decided to do something about it. As a seamstress, Ronnie reused her excess clothes that were out-of-style to create new pieces. Instead of filling her closet with purchases, she began to fill it up with clothes that she made.

She had another thought: Why did people need to buy multiple garments to achieve multiple stylish looks? They didn’t, and she knew why not. And thus, Ronnie’s Wraps was born!

Ronne’s Wraps are all about versatility. Each wrap can be worn multiple ways – literally, from 5 to 50 different ways! She even packages a DVD, teaching her buyers the multiple ways to wrap and wear her creations. By having the ability to transform these pieces, wardrobes and spending budgets can be downsized completely!

I must admit, I was incredulous at first. The idea of one piece of clothing transforming into multiple outfits seemed far-fetched. But I am a believer today, and you will be too. Let’s talk about these wraps!

Although the lovely ladies who participated in the fashion show transformed these pieces NUMEROUS times, I could only capture a few and I could only put up to 8 per photo.

The Anytime Wrap was the first pieces shown, and by the time she created the final look, I believed in everything that Ronnie was selling. What started off as a long flowing cardigan transformed into a cropped cardigan, and then quite a few different dress options, and even a long tunic. The extra flowing fabric around the shoulders created a hood that was very Star Wars-esque. The options are limitless.

The Coverup Collar was an interesting piece. This garment began as a tunic. It could be adjusted to be off-the-shoulder, one shoulder, or shoulder-less. Then things got tricky. The tunic became a skirt… and then shorts! With the strategic placement of clips within the shirt, the garment could close upon itself. The same clips create a closed sleeve and shorten the length of the tunic into a blouse.

The Breezy Skirt is a very pretty piece, especially in the print shown at the show. It is made with two different fabrics – a solid color and a thinner double-printed overlay. It can be a skirt and an over sized tunic (one shoulder). It transformed into a tube dress by lifting the overlay up to cover your chest – the extra material ties in the back. It’s flowy and fun.

The Wrap Jacket is one of the most versatile pieces. I couldn’t capture HALF of the outfits this one jacket generated, but at this point the running count of ways to wear this jacket is 45! The jacket also has the set of clips to shorten the length. When shortened, the jacket becomes a broad variety of blouses. When left at its full length and combined with a belt, the jacket becomes a dress. How crazy is that?

The Ankle Wrap Skirt's title is an understatement since it becomes many different variations of blouses, dresses, and tunics. The addition of a chunky belt creates a tapered look to show off a full shape and accentuate the curves of a woman’s body. The belt also creates a more defined sleeve for the wearer.

The Disappearing Tube Dress serves as a dress, a blouse, and a tunic. I think, if you work with it, it could even be a skirt. That’s one of the perk about Ronnie’s wraps, with the adjustments that people make every day, the ways to style the pieces continues to grow. Some of the ways that the ladies modeled the garments were new to Ronnie! I love how you can use the sleeves of this one to create a halter top look, making this virtually a piece that can transform from day to night.

The Sophisticated Wrap Dress is mainly a dress and can be worn as a skirt, but the ways that you can change this dress are mind blowing. The simplest changes in the dress’s form alter the look of the dress completely! There is just so much you can do with this dress – from the slight alteration in the sleeve to the structure of the front of it.

The Miracle Infinity Dress is very similar to the Sophisticated Wrap Dress in that it doesn’t take the form of many other garments, but that doesn’t stop its versatility. The extra-long straps can be wrapped and tied in so many different directions, you can create any design you want. The straps are also wide and stretchy enough to be opened as cap sleeves as well. This one dress can be worn on different occasions in plenty ways.

What’s important to note is that all the pieces are made to order. You can choose each piece in whatever color you choose (Ronnie can usually find fabric in the color you choose). And as you can see, these styles are amazing.
